A recently re-opened Free House, family owned and run by husband and wife team, Colin and Amanda.

The 1760's Grade 2 listed building has been tastefully restored to provide a friendly and welcoming environment and we place an emphasis on relaxed eating and drinking. We are pleased to have created a comfortable and sociable space.
We offer coffee and cakes all day, light lunches and weekend brunches. In the evening we serve hot meals from 6 - 8pm.
Most of our food is freshly prepared and cooked from scratch by Amanda and her small team, sourcing local ingredients wherever possible. Our carefully chosen menu reflects seasonality and changes regularly, and we try to offer something for everyone, including a 'small plate' option. We can also usually cater for particular dietary requirements.
Our coffee is El Salvador Single Estate from Frank & Earnest (Hand Roasted in Bury St Edmunds) and we have a selection of fabulous Jing teas. We also offer good beers, wine and soft drinks (and we also keep a nice selection of gin!)
We are family and dog friendly and have a lovely pub garden backing onto a meadow and woodland, creating a peaceful environment in which to sit (although we have some rowdy rooks in the treetops!)
